For my first post, I thought I’d give you a little background on who I am and what I’m doing both on here and in life (or at least attempting to do). I’m the eldest of 4 (my siblings kick ass), I have an 11 month old cavalier, (her name is Olive), I’m from Northern California (go Giants, Warriors, and the 9ers), and clearly grew up playing sports and being active.
I moved to Southern California for school and haven’t left. That’s where I started teaching barre fitness classes which grew to include personal training and coaching at Orangetheory. I’m not sure what my 5, 3, or 1 year plan look like, all I know is I want to directly help people through fitness and wellness. I want to enable them to realize their strength and capabilities surpass what they imagine.
As the quote goes, “I didn’t always know what I wanted to do, but I knew the kind of woman I wanted to be.” That seems to be somewhat fitting to this 20 something stage of life because I don’t know what I want to do, however, I know I want to live with integrity and authenticity. I want to make everyone feel like they matter (because they do) and I want to fiercely push people in the direction of their dreams.
With that being said, I’ve wanted to start a blog for quite sometime. It’s a place I can share ideas, moments, but mainly, it holds me responsible to my word. I have to follow through because I’ve put my intention out into the universe. I remember writing a gratitude blog for a course in school, having to sit down, sort out my feels, and set intentions actually made me more grateful. The posts and the thought allowed me to see those moments of positivity and hold them close. I’m hoping this blog will allow me to be a bit more positive and open, as well as follow through on the ideas I have!
So here I go…
Sarah:)
